I've said the most of what I think in public-- I find Jack unpleasant to the extreme, but experience shows that means very little in a game like this, if it means anything at all. By default that would make you most suspicious-- perhaps moreso for the fact that most would be loath to vote for a child. That would make you the safest wolf of all.
However, after observing your conversation with Jack last night, I'm honestly unsure which of you seems the more suspicious.
That only makes me most suspicious if you believe that the shepherd would choose the wolves based on that kind of thing. Mi- In your estimation, would he? You seem to have some acquaintance with him.
I don't know if Hatter is selecting her wolves on purpose this time or no-- either is equally likely, depending on her mood at the time. However, if she is selecting them... I'm sure you must have noticed, Hatter is sadistic and takes pleasure in causing the most upset.
I believe-- I believe Raphael was worried about both Itachi-- the man with the chess pieces in his lungs -- and myself, as I was then named in that clue. He is... he loves the both of us very much, you see.
[runs a hand through his hair, frustrated]
Honestly-- dealing with Hatter is a terrible idea, and Hatter loves to torment Raphael most of all. I've no idea what he though he would accomplish, except giving Hatter exactly what she wanted.
I'm sorry for your loss, and for the sufferings your loved one has borne. [for the record, sounds sincere.] But you didn't see him after he went, then.
No. And what frustrates me most-- I've no idea what Raphael thought he would accomplish. It is not as though he could influence how the rest of the votes would fall, and his being taken... hurts me very much. If he meant to protect me-- I can't think that this was the best way.
I'm sorry, but I do have to ask this. What, in your estimation, is the likelihood of Hatter killing him and the wolves' choice being forced by that rather than by their normal process of chosing?
...As equally likely as Hatter choosing her wolves deliberately rather than leaving it to chance. She is mercurial -- sometimes unendingly fair and sometimes playing by rules only she truly understands. Though she does, in my experience, enjoy not meddling directly where she can help it-- but will certainly give us enough rope to hang ourselves.
Mm. I know it makes me look less of a sheep, if Hatter took Raphael without the wolves' consent. If she did, I'm entirely sure she took that into consideration as well.
After all, if she could use Raphael's sacrifice to condemn me, well-- I'm sure wherever Raphael has been taken, she would make sure he knew of it.
That wouldn't surprise me. I'm having a hard time believing that a game master would screw up their game so badly, but I can't just dismiss the possibility. Especially if their history together is powerful enough to drive her like that.
For the record, on the off chance you are a wolf, I'm keeping a couple people apprised of this conversation. So killing me won't take this off the table.
That's fine; I am not used to engaging in private conversations to begin with-- I like to think I have been very open with my opinions, here or in public, even when such things may not make me popular with those discussed.
I hope you similarly understand, then, when I openly discuss with others what makes you seem wolfish, in my eyes.
Mi- ...I would request that you be careful if any seem panicky or ruthless. The simplest method of dealing with a wolf who others wouldn't vote for would be to kill them and present the others with someone who's already a corpse to vote on, and I have no defenses against that.
If they truly believed I was a wolf, and truly believed that no one would ever vote for me, and truly believed that they would die unless all the wolves were voted out, it would be their best course of action. If a person considers that more people would survive if the sheep win than the wolves, they could even justify it to themselves. [mostly sounds tired during that]
At the moment, I consider it extremely unlikely. But I don't throw gasoline into kill games without extreme care, and convincing someone simultaneously that person A is a wolf and that person A will never be voted out is gasoline. Why did you think I called what you were saying irresponsible, if done as a wolf distraction tactic?
I am simply being honest when I say that no one will vote for you, miss Rika, save for the very ruthless. I have experience enough with people to know that.
As for the other-- as I have said, at this point I do not know if you or Jack were more likely to be a wolf. I will hope it was Jack, for all our sakes. I want this over as quickly as anyone else.

Speaking of the Shepherd's motivations, can I ask what you know about your boyfriend when he went off to confront Hatter?
